The Truth About 'Free Robux' and 'Free V-Bucks'

Lots of websites, videos, and messages promise 'free Robux', 'free V-Bucks', or 'free skins' if you click a link, enter your password, or do a survey. It feels exciting — but almost all of these are tricks designed to steal your account or your parents' money. Here is how to spot them.

If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is

Real games do not give away free currency through random websites or comments. When someone promises lots of free Robux or V-Bucks, they usually want something from you — like your password, or for you to click a dodgy link. The game companies themselves have said these 'free' offers are not real. If you see one, the safest thing is to ignore it and close it.

Never type your password anywhere except the real game

The biggest trick is a website that asks you to 'log in' to get your free stuff. If you type your username and password there, you are really just handing your account to a stranger — and they can take everything in it. Only ever type your password into the real app or website, never a pop-up or a link someone sent you. If you are not sure, ask a grown-up first.

Tell a grown-up — even if you already clicked

If you clicked one of these links, entered a password, or spent money by accident, you are not in trouble. Tell a parent or carer straight away so they can help — for example by changing your password or asking the game for money back. The sooner you tell someone, the easier it is to fix.
