SafeSearch
A setting built into search engines like Google and Bing that filters explicit content from search results. It should be enabled on all devices children use.
In plain English
A setting built into search engines like Google and Bing that filters explicit content from search results. It should be enabled on all devices children use.
Why it matters
SafeSearch is not perfect, but it removes a large share of explicit results in image, video, and web search. Locking SafeSearch via a family account stops a child turning it off in a couple of taps.
What to do
Parents and carers
On any device your child uses, switch SafeSearch on in Google, Bing, and YouTube, and lock it via a parent account where possible.
