How to Report on Amazon Prime Video

How to set up parental controls, create a purchase PIN, and report inappropriate content on Amazon Prime Video.

1

Open Parental Controls in your Amazon account

Sign in to your Amazon account and go to 'Account & Settings' within Prime Video. Select 'Parental Controls'. Here you can manage viewing restrictions and purchase settings for your household.

2

Set a Parental Controls PIN

In Parental Controls, create a four-digit PIN. This PIN will be required to purchase or rent content and, if enabled, to watch content above a certain rating. Choose a PIN that children in your household will not easily guess.

3

Restrict content by viewing rating

Use the 'Viewing restrictions' option to limit content to a maximum age rating — for example, U, PG, 12, 15, or 18. Any content above the selected rating will require the PIN to unlock. Apply this to your child's profile if you have set up separate profiles.

4

Report inappropriate content

To report content that appears to violate Amazon's guidelines, navigate to the title page on Prime Video, scroll down to the 'Feedback' section, and select 'Report an issue'. You can also contact Amazon Customer Service via the Help section for more serious concerns.

5

Report child safety concerns to the relevant authority

If you encounter content that appears to involve child sexual exploitation, report it to the Internet Watch Foundation (iwf.org.uk) and CEOP (ceop.police.uk) immediately, in addition to reporting to Amazon.

This is general educational guidance, not professional advice. If a child is in immediate danger, call 999 (UK) or 911 (US).
