How to Report on Apple (iCloud, iMessage, App Store)
How to report child safety concerns, inappropriate content, or harmful apps through Apple's reporting channels.
Report inappropriate App Store content
In the App Store, scroll to the bottom of an app's listing and tap 'Report a Problem'. You can also visit reportaproblem.apple.com. Select the issue type and provide details about why the app is inappropriate for children.
Report concerning iMessage content
If your child receives harmful content via iMessage, take a screenshot for evidence. Block the sender by tapping their name at the top of the conversation, then 'Info', then 'Block this Caller'. Report the number to your mobile provider and to the police if appropriate.
Report child exploitation material
Apple has a dedicated reporting channel for child sexual abuse material. Email reportcsam@apple.com with details. Apple's Safety team investigates these reports and works with law enforcement where appropriate.
Review and adjust parental controls
Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions to review your child's device settings. Ensure age-appropriate content restrictions are enabled, in-app purchases require a password, and location sharing is configured appropriately.
This is general educational guidance, not professional advice. If a child is in immediate danger, call 999 (UK) or 911 (US).
