How to Report on Kik

How to report users, messages, or groups on Kik that may pose a risk to children's safety.

1

Open the conversation or profile

Navigate to the chat, group, or user profile that you want to report. Kik allows you to report individual users, group chats, and specific messages.

2

Access the report option

In a one-to-one chat, tap the person's name at the top to view their profile, then tap 'Report'. In a group, tap the group name at the top and select 'Report'. You can also report a specific message by pressing and holding it.

3

Select the reason for your report

Choose the reason that best describes your concern. Options include 'Child exploitation', 'Harassment', and 'Inappropriate content'. For any concern involving a child, select the child exploitation category.

4

Submit and block the user

Submit your report and block the user to prevent further contact. Kik's Trust and Safety team will review the report. Blocking prevents the person from sending messages or finding your child's profile.
