How to Report on TikTok
How to report inappropriate content, accounts, or behaviour on TikTok to help keep young users safe.
Open the content you want to report
Navigate to the video, comment, or profile that you want to report. You can report videos, comments, direct messages, live streams, and entire accounts.
Tap the share or more options button
On a video, tap the arrow (share) icon on the right side of the screen. On a comment, long-press the comment. On a profile, tap the three-dot menu in the top right corner.
Select 'Report'
Tap 'Report' from the menu that appears. TikTok will ask you to choose a reason for your report. Select the most appropriate category, such as 'Minor safety' for content involving children.
Provide additional details
Follow the on-screen prompts to provide more specific information about your concern. The more detail you give, the faster TikTok's safety team can review and act on your report.
Submit and follow up
Tap 'Submit' to send your report. You can check the status of your report in Settings > Support > Report history. If the content involves a child in immediate danger, also report to CEOP or your local police.
This is general educational guidance, not professional advice. If a child is in immediate danger, call 999 (UK) or 911 (US).
