- 5 minWelcome & ground rules. Introduce yourself, confirm confidentiality, set a non-judgemental tone.
- 10 minWhy this matters now. Use one or two recent local or national stories to anchor the session.
- 25 minFocus: your selected topics. Walk through each focus area with practical home-life examples.
- 10 minDiscussion in pairs. Parents discuss the suggested questions and feed back to the room.
- 7 minQ&A. Take questions. Note any safeguarding disclosures to follow up privately.
- 3 minNext steps & handouts. Send everyone home with one printable handout and one action.

Discussion questions

Practical setup notes
- Book a room that comfortably holds your expected number with space for chairs in rows or a horseshoe.
- Test the projector / TV with your slides at least 30 minutes before start.
- Print enough handout copies for 1.2 per attendee (allow for partners).
- Have a sign-in sheet and a name-badge option if useful.
- Place a clearly marked private follow-up sign-up slip near the exit.
- Have water available and consider tea / coffee for a 60+ minute session.
