Add the Reporting Route Finder to Your School Website

A free widget that shows a worried adult who to contact about a child safeguarding concern.

What it is

The Reporting Route Finder asks a few questions and then points a worried adult to the right UK organisation to contact, such as the police, the NSPCC, CEOP or a school safeguarding lead.

It is free for schools, clubs, youth groups, and parish and community websites. You do not need to sign up or tell us who you are.

How to add it

  1. Choose a theme below.
  2. Copy the code.
  3. Paste it into an HTML or "embed" block on your website, then save and publish the page.

Get your embed code

1. Choose a theme

2. Copy the code

Recommended. The widget resizes itself to fit its content. If a visitor's browser blocks scripts, they still see a plain link to the tool.

<div data-scg-embed="reporting-route-finder" data-theme="auto"><a href="https://safechildguide.com/tools/reporting-route-finder">Reporting Route Finder – Safe Child Guide</a></div>
<script src="https://safechildguide.com/embed/v1/reporting-route-finder.js" async></script>

Keeping it accurate

The widget always loads the current version from our site, so you never need to update the code you pasted. The helpline details were last reviewed on 6 November 2026.

Privacy

  • The widget sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising.
  • It sends technical error reports and a small sample of page-load timings to our self-hosted error monitoring, so we can find and fix problems.
  • Like any embedded page, the visitor's browser normally tells us the address of the website it was loaded on (the Referer header). We do not use it to identify visitors.
  • The widget does not ask for any personal information.

Read our full privacy policy.
