Your Child's First Livestream

A UK pathway for your child's first livestream, with privacy, viewer controls and what to do if things go wrong.

Livestreaming feels casual to teenagers but it is broadcasting. Anyone in the audience can screenshot, screen-record or pressure them in real time.

The goal is to delay open public streaming as long as possible and start with private streams to known friends only.

  • Understands strangers can record everything they say or show.
  • Can shut down a stream confidently if it goes wrong.
  • Talks openly about online comments and pressure.
  • Understands that adult viewers may pretend to be peers.
